If you're marketing your products or services on the
Internet, keeping up with the latest Internet technology is an important
part of developing a successful Internet business. For this reason, this
article will focus on some of the latest technology trends and how you can
use them to market your products or services.
Blogs
If you've been on the Internet for any time at all, you have most-likely
heard about blogs. A blog, which is short for web log, is a personal online
journal that is open for public viewing.
The author of a blog, referred to as a blogger (web logger), usually makes
entries to the blog on a very frequent basis. These entries usually contain
commentary on specific issues, helpful tips and/or instructions with regard
to the subject matter and recommended links to appropriate resources.

Your Opt-In Lists with Squeeze Pages
By

Squeeze pages provide Internet marketers with a highly
effective way to build their lists by enabling visitors to request further
information. If you have any kind of Internet business, you most likely know
that building a list of targeted potential customers is an absolute must.
A squeeze page is a simple page that has one specific purpose - to get your
visitor to give you their email address. This page should contain mainly
text with very few, if any, graphics - nothing that will take the attention
away from the text.
There should be at least one headline with some additional sub-headlines
and a subscription box. The text should be no longer than 100 words, and
should all fit within the browser window without scrolling. Below the
subscription box should be some text that assures your visitors that you
will never sell or share their information.
The key to using this technique effectively is to offer your visitors something
of value, such as information, a quality ebook, software, video, or audio
file in exchange for their email address.
This technique is used both online and offline in many different industries.
For example, there are many companies that run contests that require you
to visit their web site and enter your email address to see if you've won.
There are also companies that will give you a music or software download,
which requires you to enter your email address. These are all forms of squeeze
page use and they are highly effective.
